The D Word: Ending Relationship with the World
As believers we have often forgotten the God we serve requires fidelity, commitment and connection. As a scorned lover repudiates the presence and scent of unfaithfulness, so the God of heaven and earth rebukes the back and forth, double mindedness of our lack luster commitment to his ordinances, laws, statutes and ways. God longs and desires for us as his people to belong to him and him alone. In this month next to the end of the year of crossing, let us be a people with resolve to remain, return, and rekindle our passion and desire for the King and his Kingdom. Let us sign the papers and send “it and them” away and speak those taboo words to the world around us“ I’M LEAVING YOU WE ARE GETTING A DIVORCE. WE MAY NOT KNOW WHAT EACH OTHERS IT’s ARE BUT WE ALL HAVE SOME “ITS AND THEMS” THAT WE NEED TO DO AWAY WITH.
